How can i apply for a course as an international student?

It is very simple to apply for a course with UK Graduate as an international student; simply find a course that suits you, then contact our team for a free consultation to discuss your options. We will then provide you with an application form.

If you need further assistance or would like to discuss your application please contact the UK office.  As part of your application you will need to provide:

academic transcripts (officially translated to English)
a personal statement explaining why you are suitable for the course
two professional and/or academic references
a copy of your passport
copies of any other supporting documents

If you are still studying please send the most up-to-date transcript you have. You may receive a 'conditional offer' until your studies are complete - this may then be upgraded to 'unconditional' when you complete your studies, if you meet the entry requirements for one of our partner universities.

What are the entry requirements for international students?

Your ability to succeed and benefit from your chosen course is our first concern when looking at partner university entry requirements. This also depends on the country and university you wish to study in.

Most universities in the UK and Europe accept applications with country-specific qualifications which correspond to the UK's qualifications for undergraduate study (eg A levels) - please contact us for further details.

You may have an opportunity to enter straight into the second or third year of an undergraduate degree if your qualifications are higher than an A-level equivalent. We also have partners who consider other qualifications, including approved access to Higher Education (HE) courses, Open University credits and various professional qualifications and pathway programs.

What are the English language requirements for International students?

If English is not your first language, or if your previous studies were not conducted fully in English, you will  need to meet our English language requirement - a minimum of IELTS 5.5 for each of the four individual components (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening).

IELTS tests must be taken at a UKVI Approved Test Centre. Please see the list of Approved Test Centre locations from the IELTS website.

If you do not meet the IELTS requirements you can choose to take our PSI skills for English Programme before you start your course.

Some of our partner colleges and universities are now also accepting the following English Tests as evidence of English language proficiency for non-EU international students for their current intakes due to circumstances surrounding Covid-19.

IELTS Indicator
Integrated Foundation Year Courses – Overall Score of 5.5
Undergraduate courses – Overall score of 6.0
Postgraduate courses – Overall score of  6.5
With a minimum score of 5.5 in each element for all courses (Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing)

Pearson Versant
Integrated Foundation Year Courses – Overall Score of 60
Undergraduate courses – Overall score of 64
Postgraduate courses – Overall score of  69
With a minimum score of 60 in each element for all courses (Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing)

Scores above are standard requirements. Please contact us for specific English Language requirements.

When should I apply for my visa to study in the UK?

If you are an International applicant starting a course in September you should start thinking about applying for your CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) in April to enable you to get a visa to study in the UK or Europe.

You can apply for your visa a maximum of three months before the course start date. You will have to pay a deposit first covering a percentage of your first year's fees.
